QuickBooks Online Authentication

Prerequisites​

Ensure the QuickBooks Online user you plan to authenticate with has one of these two roles:

  1. Administrator
  2. Accountant

Only administrators and accountants can authorize third party apps in QuickBooks Online. See more on user roles in QuickBooks Online's documentation.

Step 1: Authenticating & Enabling Permissions​

  1. Click "Log in with QuickBooks Online" from the Link Component:
  1. If you do not have an active QuickBooks Online session, you will be prompted to sign in. Enter your credentials:
  1. Click "Connect" to install Agave's QuickBooks Online application:
  1. Agave has been connected to this instance. Fill out or exit the survey:

Step 2: Confirming the Agave App is Linked​

If linked, the Agave application will appear with a green checkmark in the Applications dropdown and the Applications page within QuickBooks Online. There is no further configuration needed.
